Former Portsmouth favourite Conor Chaplin to join Leicester - plus Sheffield United, Preston North End, Southampton and Millwall transfer gossip
Here’s the latest Championship transfer rumours making the headlines on Monday, July 13.
It’s been a busy summer to date for Pompey in terms of transfer rumours, with the Blues being linked with 23 different players so far.
Despite the feverish speculation, though, only two new arrivals have officially completed moves to Fratton Park - free-agent Odin Bailey and Northern Ireland under-21 international Eoin Kenny.
All that could change very quickly, however, with multi-million pound moves for Marko Milovanovic and Rocco Shein on the horizon.
Pompey are also increasingly confident of landing young New Zealand attacking midfielder Luke Brooke-Smith amid reports of a £400,000 bid being accepted by A-League Wellington Phoenix for the 18-year-old.
In the meantime, business is ramping up amongst the Blues’ Championship rivals. Here’s the latest transfer developments from the division, plus news on Conor Chaplin’s future following his loan stint at Fratton Park last term.
