22 more brilliant photos of 9,000 Portsmouth faithful backing side at London Stadium for West Ham curtain raiser

The Fratton faithful descended on the capital in their droves for Saturday’s curtain raiser against West Ham.

An exciting maiden trip to the London Stadium awaited for the jubilant Pompey fans in the first round of the Carabao Cup, with 9,000 supporters making the short journey from the south coast.

And they were sent into delirium on 33 minutes, when Adrian Segecic fired in a brilliant 25-yard deflected effort to open his account for the new campaign.

However, the recently-relegated Hammers hit back as Taty Castellanos’ two goals were separated by a Jarrod Bowen strike to give Nuno Espirito Santo’s side a 3-1 triumph in the London sunshine.

Following their impressive display in Germany for their friendly against Darmstadt last week, the Fratton faithful were out in full support once again as a wave of blue made their first ever visit to the London Stadium on Saturday.
