There are less than three weeks to go until Pompey’s season-opener against Oxford United on August 9.
The Blues have added two new faces to the squad ahead of the curtain raiser at the Kassam Stadium, with Adrian Segecic and John Swift making the move to Fratton Park.
There are also plenty of rumours doing the rounds linking names with a switch to PO4 as John Mousinho looks to strengthen to his side.
But could the Blues line-up for the season-opener next month?
We’ve put together what Mousinho’s 20-man squad to face Oxford United could look like if the current transfer rumours are true.

18. SUB 6: Andre Dozzell
After a difficult start to life at Pompey, Dozzell impressed in the middle of the park which saw him earn a new deal at the end of last term. Kosznovszky and Swift could likely be Mousinho’s preferred option in the engine room. Photo: Nigel Keene

19. SUB 7: Harvey Knibbs
The Reading ace has been once-again linked with a move to Fratton Park. Royals boss has confirmed there is Championship interest in the versatile attacker, who is believed to be on the Blues’ radar as well as Sheffield United and Oxford United. | Getty Images

20. SUB 8: Paddy Lane
Mousinho has challenged Lane to thrive in the Championship next season and will be chomping at the bit to feature having been out since January. With Matt Ritchie set for a departure, the winger will have to make the step up to fill the void left by the ex-Newcastle United man. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
