Ben Killip has registered seven appearances in all competitions for Pompey.

Ben Killip has extended his Fratton Park stay.

The keeper, who made the move to PO4 in August 2024, has penned a fresh two-year deal on the south coast, which runs until the summer of 2029.

The 30-year-old has registered seven appearances in all competitions for John Mousinho’s side following his arrival from Barnsley in February 2025, of which six have come in the Championship.

Killip was called into action in September’s south-coast derby draw against Southampton, coming on for the injured Nicolas Schmid, as well as replacing the injured Josef Bursik just four minutes into April’s 3-1 triumph over Stoke City.

And speaking after the ex-Norwich City man’s extension, the head coach explained the shot stopper’s importance in his ranks.

Mousinho told the club website: ‘We’re delighted that Ben has agreed a new deal to extend his stay with the club.

‘He has been a valuable member of the squad ever since joining the club and complements the other keepers we have here.’

Pompey also have Schmid, Bursik and summer signing Daniel Bielica in their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season.
