‘Where are you off to?’: £1.5m Portsmouth target lifts lid on Dundee future as Rangers and Charlton Athletic circle

Pompey had bids for Dundee defender Luke Graham rejected during the January transfer window.

Pompey target Luke Graham has stressed he doesn’t know where his future lies as clubs begin to circle ahead of the summer transfer window.

The centre-back has also explained how he blocked ‘outside noise’ during the January window amid strong interest originating from Fratton Park.

John Mousinho’s troops were unsuccessful in their pursuit of the 22-year-old during the winter market as the head coach looked to bolster his ranks at the heart of defence.

But the Dark Blues, who sit ninth in the Scottish Premiership, are braced for fresh interest in Graham as clubs either side of the border weigh up their options.

Celtic and Rangers both have the young talent in their sights ,as well as Pompey’s Championship rivals Lincoln City, Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers.

In the meantime, Scotland youth international Graham has revealed he remains in the dark and is looking to block ‘outside noise’ until the campaign reaches its conclusion.

In an interview with our sister paper, The Scotsman, Graham said: ‘I’ve loved it at Dundee. To be honest, I couldn’t give you a proper answer on where I envision myself next season. All I’m trying to do is focus on keeping Dundee in the league.

‘A few of my mates have been texting me saying “where are you off to?” and stuff like that but you just try to block it out and I think I did that really well in the January window, to keep focusing on my own game and not listen to the outside noise.

‘No, really, I don’t know. I don’t want to get too involved in that while the season’s still ongoing so I really couldn’t tell you.’

Graham’s stock is firmly on the rise after an outstanding campaign at Dens Park.

Following a successful loan with Falkirk last term, the defender returned to Dundee in the summer and has gone on to establish himself as a frontline operator in Pressley’s backline.

The centre-back has amassed 40 appearances in all competitions this term for the Dark Blues, who sit ninth in the Scottish Premiership with two games remaining.

Clubs either side of the Scottish border have the emerging talent on their radar, with Dundee expected to cash in if their valuation is met.
