It’s been a frustrating start to the new season for Pompey, who currently sit four points above the relegation zone.
Despite picking up two wins in their opening four matches, the Blues have claimed just one victory in the following 11 games, which has seen them slump down the Championship table.
John Mousinho has been hampered by injuries to a number of key personnel in the opening three months of the campaign, with the likes of Josh Murphy, Conor Shaughnessy, Callum Lang, Nicolas Schmid and more unavailable at various points.
Although some members of the injured cohort are closing in on their much-anticipated returns, others like Connor Ogilvie and Thomas Waddingham are still set for an extended period on the sidelines.
But what would Pompey’s strongest XI and bench look like IF the head coach had every player at his disposal?
Although Mousinho has had to contend with injuries throughout the campaign so far, here’s how we think the Blues could line-up if they had a clean bill of health.
Do you agree with our starting XI and bench?

13. SUB 1: Josef Bursik
The deadline-day arrival has done superbly in Schmid’s absence and will no doubt add plenty of competition to the goalkeeping ranks. | Ian Lyall/ProSportsImages

14. SUB 2: Josh Knight
Pompey are still yet to see the best of Knight following his summer arrival from Hannover 96. He’s been in-and-out of the side as Mousinho searches for Shaughnessy’s replacement. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

15. SUB 3: Terry Devlin
It feels tough leaving Swanson out of the squad but Devlin can be utilised in different positions, which has been a huge advantage for Mousinho. The Northern Ireland international has been impressive during his time on the pitch this term. | Ian Lyall/ProSportsImages

16. SUB 4: Luke Le Roux
The South African international has struggled for consistent performances following his summer arrival but is the only option who could challenge Pack for a starting spot. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
