Key day for Portsmouth faithful as moment arrives to join 2026-27 Championship adventure
Today is a landmark occasion for Pompey fans hoping to become season tickets holders next term.
The moment has arrived for Pompey fans hoping to join their club’s 2026-27 Championship charge.
This morning sees those on the Blues’ season ticket waiting list get their chance to purchase a seat for next term.
Pompey season ticket waiting list opened today
The first wave opened at 10am with those in waiting positions 1-250 able to land their spots, with that window running until 1pm.
Those in spots 251-500 join the scramble from 2pm until 5pm this afternoon, though those in the first wave will still be eligible to purchase tickets.
That pattern will continue until all the season tickets are claimed - with a 15,000 ceiling in keeping with previous seasons.
That means plenty on the 3,800-strong waiting list are almost certain to be disappointed, with around 14,000 renewals before the first season ticket landmark passed at the start of the month.
That leaves just 1,000 available spots on the waiting list, with tomorrow morning seeing those in positions 501-750 able to purchase from 10am-1pm. It’s then positions 751-1,000 from 2pm until 5pm.
Any remaining spaces are opened up to positions 1,001-1,250 on Friday morning (10am-1pm), with it 1,251-1,500 on Friday afternoon (2pm-5pm).
The slots continue next week all the way down to season tickets going on general sale on Friday, July 3 in the extremely unlikely event of any being left over.
Those who aren’t able to purchase season tickets for next season will still get the chance to get to Fratton Park on a game-by-game basis, however.
The club ensures a number of tickets are available for each match. That figure depends on away allocation with Fratton Park having a 21,000 capacity.
Last season’s biggest attendance arrived in the FA Cup against Premier League champions Arsenal, with 3,063 away fans present among a crowd of 20,611.
The highest attendance in the league was for Birmingham City’s visit on the final day, with 20,478 at Fratton Park and an away attendance of 2,195.
