The Blues will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Kieran McKenna’s side have had a slow start to the campaign and sit five places behind John Mousinho’s men this - winning just one of the opening six games of the season.
With injuries piling up at Fratton Park, here’s how we predict Pompey to line-up against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

9. RM: Adrian Segecic
Segecic made it clear he is working hard to become more effective, having been moved onto the right wing for the Blues' previous two games. Injuries and ineligibility could mean the Aussie sensation starts out wide once again. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
10. CAM: John Swift
Conor Chaplin will, of course, be absent for the trip to Portman Road as he’s ineligible to face his parent club. This will bring plenty of discussion as to who should come into the side as his replacement. Although Swift is yet to play in that role at Fratton Park, the 30-year-old has played there before during his career and could be a sensible option behind Bishop. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
11. LM: Florian Bianchini
Mousinho was encouraged by Bianchini’s display against Sheffield Wednesday and made it clear the Blues are working hard to improve his end product. There is a fitness call to be made over Josh Murphy, who was absent last time out due to an ankle knock and remains 50/50 for the trip to Portman Road. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

12. ST: Colby Bishop
Bishop netted twice from the spot during Pompey’s last visit to Portman Road in 2022. The Magic Man will be hoping to kick start his campaign in front of goal, having netted once in the opening six games. Photo: Graham Hunt
