The festive football keeps coming for Pompey, who are back in action for one final time in 2025 on Monday.
Following Boxing Day’s 1-1 draw against QPR just two days ago, attention turns to a crucial game against relegation rivals Charlton Athletic.
John Mousinho's men will, of course, be looking to move out of the Championship’s bottom three and welcome an Addicks side, who have won just one of their previous eight matches.
With Pompey in the midst of a packed schedule, could the head coach freshen things up at PO4 on Monday or will he stick with the same side?
Here’s how we think the Blues will line-up in their final league game of 2025.

2. GK: Nicolas Schmid

3. RB: Terry Devlin
Devlin has established himself as Mousinho’s first-choice at right-back in recent weeks, with a number of formidable displays. His latest saw him net his third goal of the campaign and is quickly becoming a strong contender for Player of the Season at Fratton Park. | Graham Hunt

4. CB: Hayden Matthews
The Aussie has been brilliant partnering Regan Poole in the heart of defence, with Mousinho recently branding the 21-year-old’s displays as ‘outstanding’. There’ll be more competition for his spot in the team on Monday, though, with Conor Shaughnessy returning from a long-term hamstring injury. Given the length of the 29-year-old’s time out of the side, it’s likely we’ll see Matthews in from the start. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
