John Mousinho’s League One title winner were broken up days after the conclusion of their never-to-be-forgotten season.
There was surprises in last year’s retained list as some big calls were made over the squad, as they likes of Joe Morrell, Sean Raggett and Joe Rafferty moved on.
The players who left have been through varying fortunes since, so we’ve documented how they’ve fared.

5. Matt Macey
Macey didn't feature for Pompey when joining as back-up for ever-present Will Norris last January. The keeper has shone for Colchester in League Two, however, after being signed by former Blues boss Danny Cowley calling the season 'one of the most enjoyable' of his career. | SNS Group

6. Harry Jewitt-White
Having come through the Blues ranks to make nine Pompey appearances, including one League One start, the Hayling Island youngster was released last summer. He subsequently joined Northern Ireland Premiership team Crusaders in August 2024, signing a two-year deal with the Belfast-based club. Had a quickfire run of three goals in the new year when the games started to arrive and finished the season with 33 appearances under his belt, as his side lost out to Coleraine in a European play-off. 7. Liam Vincent
Dropped down to the National League South with Tonbridge Angels, but had a good season with nine goals in 41 appearances seeing him finish as his side's top scorer from left-back/left wing-back. That earned him a move to Sutton United and means the 22-year-old will ply his trade in the National League next season. | Jason Brown/ProSportsImages

8. Josh Dockerill
So unfortunate to see his professional year at Pompey wrecked by a knee injury picked up in pre-season at Gosport, but has bounced back under Shaun North at Hawks where he's played regularly in a variety of positions and clocked up 37 games. | Jason Brown/ProSportsImages
