Gloriously recaptured best form with searing display. Fancied the big occasion with excellent return to most threatening form. First-half screamer forced outstanding save from Christian Walton before playing big role in second goal - was excellent for the duration with and without the ball. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages

Rustiness evident on schemer’s return to side with some loose early touches and scruffy effort when afforded opening. Grew into it after break and was important to the rearguard action both in and out of possession, however. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages

Heart and character on his return to the side. Was a worry out of possession early on as the visitors dominated but stuck to the task and grew as an attacking threat. Superb boomerang corner the key to Shaughnessy’s opener after earlier sight of goal. Couldn’t take big chance to get killer third but more than justified inclusion. | Getty Images

Ipswich Town's tormentor strikes again! Elation after barren run with his seventh career goal against the Tractor Boys. Real No9’s display against Cedric Kipre and Dara O’Shea - taking both on two defenders at the same time on occasions. What a boost for the Magic Man's confidence. | Jez Tighe
