Team news
John Mousinho will not be welcoming any more members of his injured cohort for the visit of Oxford, with the game coming too soon for Josh Knight and Thomas Waddingham.
The pair, who have been sidelined with back and quad issues respectively, have been pencilled in to complete their long-awaited comebacks on Saturday against Middlesbrough.
Andre Dozzell and Keshi Anderson are, though, both expected to feature after coming off the bench at Carrow Road, following their recent injury lay-offs prior to the international break.
Josh Murphy (foot), Aji Alese (quad), Franco Umeh (hamstring) and Mark Kosznovszky (knee) will sit out the remaining seven matches of the campaign.
Florian Bianchini continues to be ruled out of action with ongoing tendonitis in the knee, while Ebou Adams has been pencilled in to complete his comeback from a knee issue against Leicester City on April 18.
Oxford United, meanwhile, have a fairly small injury list, with two members of Matt Bloomfield’s side set to miss the trip to Fratton Park.
Tyler Goodrham has been sidelined since January with an ankle issue and will miss the remainder of the campaign after recently undergoing surgery.
Influential midfielder Brian De Keersmaecker will also sit out the final month of the season due to an ongoing shoulder problem.
Referee
Josh Smith will be the man in the middle for the hugely-important survival showdown at Fratton Park. The official will be assisted by Sam Lewis, Andrew Fox alongside fourth official Dean Whitestone.
Smith has yet to referee the Blues this term, but has taken charge of 22 Championship matches, which has seen him dish out 82 yellow cards and hand out five red cards.
