Portsmouth latest: Fresh development in Bristol City managerial hunt amid John Mousinho interest
Pompey boss John Mousinho has been heavily linked with the Bristol City vacancy in recent weeks.
Michael Skubala has ruled himself out of the Bristol City vacancy, according to fresh reports.
The 43-year-old was reportedly identified by the Robins as an ideal permanent successor to Gerhard Struber, who was sacked in March.
However, Football Insider’s transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke has claimed Skubala is not looking to depart Sincil Bank this summer after guiding the Imps to the League One title.
The head coach is said to have made it clear the BS3 vacancy is of little interest as he begins preparations for the Lincoln’s first campaign back in the second tier since 1961.
Bristol City are expected to move on with their search, with Mousinho reportedly on their radar after he guided Pompey to Championship survival in back-to-back seasons.
Last week, Blues CEO Andy Cullen told The News Pompey had received no approaches for their head coach.
