‘Not a chance…Absolutely': Split Portsmouth verdict over key decision awaiting John Mousinho
Josef Bursik has kept two clean sheets in his eight Pompey appearances.
Pompey fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts over the key goalkeeping decision which awaits John Mousinho.
The Blues have been without star stopper Nicolas Schmid since September, with the Austrian breaking his hand during the goalless south-coast derby against Southampton.
Although Ben Killip started the following game against Sheffield Wednesday, deadline-day signing Josef Bursik has remained an ever-present between the sticks.
Following his introduction against Ipswich Town, the 25-year-old has featured in all of Pompey’s seven Championship matches, of which he’s kept two clean sheets.
During his time in the side, the ex-Hibs man has come to the rescue on a number of occasions, which included saving a penalty against Birmingham City last week as well as countless stops against Wrexham in midweek.
We put the question: ‘Has Josef Bursik done enough to retain his spot in goal when Nicolas Schmid returns from injury?’ To the Fratton faithful on social media - and the results have been hugely varied.
Here’s the best of the reactions from Facebook.
Split Pompey verdict on goalkeeper call

Carla Hodgson: Definitely a tough one, Nico has some stiff opposition. But that's a good thing IMO. No rush to bring Nico back in. Let him fully heal, the Winter schedule is always tough.
Mel Clarke: Let's keep the positive vibes going! Bursik's been fantastic and I'm sure he'll keep fighting for his spot.
Glenn Larder: Bursik was my MOTM last night, a very good back up keeper but it's got to be Nico as first choice.
Chris Martin: Not a chance. Get Schmid back ASAP. At least he can kick. He's done ok at times but prefer Schmid.
James Lewis: Bursik has the shirt has done nothing to loose it Schmid will have to wait for his opportunity when back
Tom Andrews: I love Schmid, one of my favourite signings, but Bursik has saved a penalty and was top class last night with 2 saves in particular that stood out, if his form continues its a tough one.
Dawn Roberts: Absolutely... Nico has a fight on his hands.
Andy Emberson: He hasn't put a foot wrong, although his distribution isn’t as good as Schmid, when Schmid pings a ball it goes to who ever he wants it to, that's the one thing he’s better at.
Pete Tiffin: Bursik has settled in well since coming in for Killip, who seemed a bit hesitant. Definitely deserved that. Nico's one of the top 6 keepers in the Championship, top class!
Tanya Roberts Chinnery: He's not put a foot wrong so far and has made some great saves. Just needs to practice his kicking! It's good to have competition between players for the starting line-ups, makes them work harder.
Chris Sharp: Definitely, distribution is one thing. It’s more important stop the ball going in the net and he has kept Pompey in the game on numerous occasions especially against Wrexham.
