Done deals: Every EFL transfer completed ahead of January window - including ex-Portsmouth man and Plymouth & Southampton moves

Pompey head into the festive period sitting 20th in the Championship following Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Derby County.

It’s been a mixed start to the campaign for the Blues, who have won just five times in their opening 21 matches.

Despite an underwhelming opening four months of the season, which sees John Mousinho’s men go into the Christmas period two points above the relegation zone, they opted against strengthening in the free agent market.

Although injuries to Connor Ogilvie and Jacob Farrell have left Pompey without a recognised left-back, the head coach admitted his side were not looking to recruit a new face before the window opens.

It is, though, expected to be a busy month at Fratton Park, with the Blues looking to recruit between 3-6 faces before deadline day on February 2.
