The seven former Portsmouth players who made deadline day moves - including Hull City and Blackburn Rovers men
Pompey were busy finalising their summer business on deadline day.
It was a hectic climax to the transfer window at Fratton Park, with Pompey wrapping up their summer transfer business.
There were four new additions to the squad on deadline day, with Josef Bursik, Makenzie Kirk and Franco Umeh all completing permanent switches while Conor Chaplin penned a season-long deal from Ipswich Town.
Meanwhile, there were also departures for Tom McIntyre, who joined League One Bradford City, and Abdoulaye Kamara, who sealed a permanent Blues exit.
It brought to a close an impressive window on the south coast, with 11 new faces arriving in the market.
Mousinho’s men were one of the busiest Championship clubs on the final day of the window as they looked to strengthen before the 7pm deadline.
While the Blues were eyeing further reinforcements, there were a number of former Pompey players who were on the move on deadline day.
Owen Dale
Owen Dale had been given the green light to depart Oxford United earlier in the summer having been told he would not be part of Gary Rowett’s plans.
The 26-year-old, who spent the second half of the campaign on loan with Wigan Athletic, finally got his move late in the window as he sealed his return to League One.
The winger penned a season-long loan deal with Plymouth Argyle, who were hoping to strengthen after a difficult start to the campaign.
Dale became the Pilgrims’ 14th signing of the summer window following their relegation from the Championship.
The ex-Blackpool man spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Fratton Park, where he netted two goals in 50 appearances for Pompey.
Conor Chaplin
Chaplin, who first came through the ranks at PO4 before departing on a permanent basis in 2019, completed his return to his boyhood club on Monday evening.
The forward sealed a season-long loan deal back with the Blues after being allowed to depart Ipswich Town before the window’s climax.
His homecoming was one of the signings of deadline day, with fans, team-mates and John Mousinho delighted over the move.

Abu Kamara
The League One title winner was at the heart of deadline day drama, with his departure from Hull City hanging in the balance.
Despite agreeing on a move to Getafe on Friday, the winger’s switch to Spain was uncertain heading into the final day of the window due to issues with the La Liga club.
Following Christiantus Uche’s exit to join Crystal Palace, it then paved the way for Kamara to finally complete his move to the Coliseum Stadium.
The former Pompey favourite has since penned a season-long loan deal with Jose Bordalas’ men.
Tom McIntyre
After being told he was not part of Mousinho’s Championship plans, McIntyre spent the summer searching for a new club.
However, the defender had to wait until deadline day before he sealed his Fratton Park departure where he joined League One outfit Bradford City on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old is entering the final 12 months of his deal on the south coast, where he’s amassed 14 appearances.
Dom Hyam
Hyam was recruited by Paul Cook late in the 2016 summer transfer window, penning a loan deal until January 2017 from Reading.
However, the defender never featured for the Blues and returned to the Royals prematurely before moving to Aldershot Town later in the season.
Nine-years later, the 29-year-old was at the heart of a deadline day drama, sealing a late move from Blackburn Rovers to Wrexham.
The Red Dragons have reportedly paid £2m for Hyam after a three-year stay at Ewood Park.

Jay Mingi
Jay Mingi was another former Pompey man on the move on the final day of the window, sealing his exit from Stockport County.
After just 11 League One outings in his sole season at Edgeley Park, the 24-year-old was allowed to leave before the market slammed shut.
His Stockport exit comes just 12 months into his two-year deal having fallen out of favour with Dave Challinor.
Abdoulaye Kamara
Abdoulaye Kamara’s short Pompey career came to an end on deadline day, joining McIntyre out of the doors at Fratton Park.
The midfielder made just six appearances for the Blues during his 12 months on the south coast but had his four-year deal mutually terminated to pursue a move elsewhere.
The 20-year-old sealed a switch to German third-tier side Saarbrucken on a free transfer.
