After 98 days competitive football returns, as the Blues begin their second campaign at the level.
It’s another return to his former club for Mousinho, after arriving at Fratton Park from the U’s in January 2023.
There’s fitness and selection issues to consider going into the game for Pompey - here’s how we think Mousinho’s side will line up against Gary Rowett’s men.
9. RW Callum Lang
Much of Pompey's pressing success and attacking threat will rely on Callum Lang being at the same level which made him such an important figure last term. | Steve Bailey/ProSportsImages
10. ACM Adrian Segecic
A really promising first glimpse of Segecic last weekend against PEC Zwolle for Fratton fans. The Aussie has the kind of enthusiasm and energy which may prove significant at the Kassam. | Steve Bailey/ProSportsImages
11. LW Josh Murphy
Probably the biggest banker to start of the outfield players and probably Pompey's key man once again. The 21 goal contributions last term tell the story why. | Steve Bailey/ProSportsImages
12. CF Thomas Waddingham
It's the Aussie's chance to shine with Colby Bishop sidelined for the opener. Start at Coventry last season and finish against PEC Zwolle show he's perhaps more ready than many would've anticipated when arriving in January. | Steve Bailey/ProSportsImages
