Pompey kicked the year off on a high, running riot on New Years’ Day as they claimed a 4-0 triumph over Swansea City at Fratton Park.
That set the mark over what was to come at PO4 during the second-half of the 2024-25 campaign, with the Blues utilising their incredible home form to steer them away from the relegation picture.
After an impressive end to the season, which saw John Mousinho’s men finish 16th on their Championship return, 11 new faces were recruited during a busy summer transfer window.
Since then, results have been mixed for Pompey, who have picked up just three wins in their opening 15 matches to date.
Indeed, the Blues head into the latest international break on a disappointing run of one victory in their last 11 matches, which has seen them slump to 20th in the table.
But where would Mousinho’s men sit in a table using results just in 2025?
Football statistics website, Transfermarkt, have compiled a Championship table using the 18 clubs who have appeared in the division for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons to work out which side has been on top since the turn of the year.
Here’s where the Blues rank against their rivals in 2025.
