Former Ipswich Town and Birmingham City man pens emotional 76-word Portsmouth farewell as Blues pay tribute

Andre Dozzell has completed his free-transfer switch to DC United after rejecting a new Pompey deal.

Andre Dozzell has admitted it was a ‘privilege’ to represent Pompey after his Fratton Park exit was confirmed this week.

And his former Blues team-mates have united to bid farewell to the popular midfielder, who will make the switch to MLS outfit DC United at the end of his current deal.

The former QPR and Ipswich man arrived at Fratton in August 2024, penning a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

And the ex-England youth international would go on to establish himself as a huge presence in John Mousinho’s engine room, amassing 80 appearances in all competitions as the Blues secured Championship survival in successive campaigns.
