John Mousinho hails glorious Portsmouth after ending painful 10-month wait for victories
The Blues have registered consecutive 3-1 wins in London this week
John Mousinho hailed Pompey’s first back-to-back wins in 10 months and insisted: We thoroughly deserved it.
Not since Norwich and Watford in April 2025 have the Blues claimed victories in successive matches in all competitions.

However, Tuesday night’s 3-1 success at Charlton was followed by a 3-1 outcome against a Millwall side positioned third in the Championship before kick-off.
Remarkably, it was also consecutive away wins, after struggling on their travels once again this season.
And Mousinho is adamant Pompey were well worth both London victories.
He told The News: ‘Two wins in a row, the first time we’ve done that this season, and back-to-back away wins scoring six goals across the two of them.
‘It was thoroughly deserved over the course of the games to win both of them, I'm absolutely delighted.
‘It’s better than Charlton, purely on the calibre of the opposition. The fact Charlton was a big game for us because of the proximity of the two sides in the league and how much of a scrap it would have been.
‘To then come here to the third-best team in the league, we have watched them time and time again, they are a very, very impressive side and have threats all over the pitch. So to do that off the back of Tuesday and that disappointing result on Saturday (Sheffield United) was really pleasing.

‘We were excellent throughout and, considering Millwall hadn’t played midweek, for us to be as we were today was great.’
With the match goalless at half-time, Gustavo Caballero, John Swift and Marlon Pack all netted in the second half.
Casper De Norre’s curling effort proved to be nothing more than a consolation for Millwall, who remain two points clear in third spot.
Mousinho added: ‘We were excellent in both halves. I know we scored the three goals in the second half, but we caused Millwall quite a few problems in the first half.
‘We got the ball down and played at times, went more direct when we needed to, and had a good couple of opportunities with Milli down the left and Gus on the right. But didn’t carve out anything clear cut, but I don’t think Millwall did either.
‘What was really impressive in the second half was the fact we came out of the traps really quickly and scored the goal. It was probably slightly fortuitous in the way we scored it, but you still have to put the ball into the back of the net.
‘It was very professional for 95 per cent of the second half. I lost my mind a bit when Millwall scored because I thought it came from us being a big sloppy - then we put that to bed and were very good towards the back end.’
