Portsmouth chairman Michael Eisner's 'succession planning' revealed after key Blues ownership changes
The former Disney chief executive has served as Blues chairman since August 2017
Michael Eisner has taken steps towards succession planning - and reaffirmed his desire for a ‘family-focused’ ownership of Pompey.
The Blues chairman, who turned 84 on Saturday, has announced the transfer 73.5 per cent of his shares in the club to his three sons.

Eisner, through Tornante, previously owned 100 per cent of all shares in Pompey and Pompey Women since taking over the Blues from fan ownership in August 2017.
The change in ownership means Breck, Eric and Anders now individually own 24.5 per cent in the club - with their father retaining the remaining 26.5 per cent.
According to a statement released by Pompey, the move is ‘part of Michael Eisner’s strategy in respect of succession planning, confirming the Eisner family’s commitment to ensure the long-term security of Portsmouth Football Club’.
However, Michael Eisner keeps 100 per cent of voting rights and continues as the sole holder of significant interest, as defined by Football League regulations.

‘I spoke about that with the PST and the fans, at The Guildhall and around Portsmouth.
‘My sons – along with my wife, Jane – have played an active role in the ownership of the club and have become avid and dedicated Pompey fans.
‘This change in the ownership structure puts on paper what has existed from the very start – a family focused approach to the ownership of this club.’
