Portsmouth faithful all ask same thing as former Birmingham forward not named in squad for Preston North End game

Keshi Anderson has not been named in Pompey’s match-day squad for their Championship trip to Preston North End

Pompey fans on social media have been reacting to the starting XI and bench John Mousinho has named for today’s game at Preston North End.

And there’s one particular omission from the match-day squad that many of the Fratton faithful talking.

The Blues have travelled to Deepdale without a host of first-team players, including the injured Colby Bishop, Josh Murphy, Harvey Blair, Conor Shaughnessy, Josh Knight and Mark Kosznovszky.

But it’s the surprise absence of Keshi Anderson that has got tongues wagging.

Signed as a free agent following his Birmingham City release on January 20, the winger has featured twice for the Blues as a second-half substitute against Southampton and WBA respectively.

Many would have been forgiven for thinking the 30-year-old would have made his full Pompey debut against the Lilywhites, especially given the Blues’ long injury list.

Yet, there’s no sign of the forward in today’s match-day line-up or bench, with fellow January arrivals Jacob Brown, Millenic Alli and Ebou Adams named in the starting XI and Gustavo Caballero and Aji Alese named among the susbstitutes.

That’s left many scratching their heads wondering where the attacker and or whether he too has suffered an injury.
