Portsmouth ready to listen to offers for forgotten man as John Mousinho eyes replacement
The left-back has made three appearances since joining in July 2024 from Central Coast Mariners
Pompey are ready to offload Jacob Farrell this summer.
John Mousinho has admitted the Blues are open to offers for the 23-year-old - either on a permanent basis or a loan deal.

Following an injury-ravaged two years on the south coast, Pompey have accepted it is time to move on, despite the luckless Australian still being contacted until the summer of 2028.
According to Mousinho, the Blues are in the market to add another left-back to their squad this summer to rival first-team regular Connor Ogilvie.
In the meantime, Farrell has still to feature in a full training session after the squad’s pre-season return on Monday.
Instead he is expected to be absent for up to three more weeks after suffering a recurrence of his groin problem in May during a loan spell with A-League club Western Sydney Warriors.
‘Whether that’s permanent or on loan, we’ll probably be open to both’
Mousinho told The News: ‘We will most likely sign a left-back. We’re probably looking to see if we can get Jacob Farrell out on loan, so we would most likely look to sign another left-back.

‘With Jacob, I think we are going to be flexible with what that’s going to be, we just need him to get games.
‘Whether that’s permanent or on loan, we’ll probably be open to both. It depends what the level of the offer is.
‘He is about 2-3 weeks away from coming back to full fitness. We’re trying to get him back fit and see how it goes off the back of that.’
Named in seven Pompey squads in two seasons
Farrell’s most recent Pompey outing was in a 1-1 draw at Watford in January, when he came off the bench for the final seven minutes.
Overall, since joining from Central Coast Mariners in July 2024, the former Australian Under-23 international has featured three times and been included in seven match-day squads.
Although still highly regarded, a succession of injury problems have prevented Mousinho from being able to consider him for his first-team plans.
And with Ogilvie signing a new two-year contract at Fratton last month, there is no such south-coast future for Farrell as Pompey explore their options.
‘Really unlucky’
Mousinho added: ‘Jacob has been really unlucky with injury. He played one game in his first Championship season, then struggled last season with injury as well.
‘He was always in and out, played a bit at the start of the season but could never get fully fit. Then went off and had his loan and struggled with injuries there as well.’
