'Poor investment', 'look relegated team', 'deep doo doo': Portsmouth faithful react to Bristol City blow
It’s was a bleak day as Fratton Park saw yet another Championship defeat and Pompey fell into the bottom three. Supporters have been carrying out the Bristol City post-mortem, here’s a selection of views on X (formerly Twitter).
Poor investment. Poor midfield. Poor tactics. Poor decisions. In massive trouble. Odds-on to get relegated @jeffharris_665
Pompey played off the park by Bristol City in first 25 minutes today. Got more competitive and missed chances to snatch a point. Swift and Chaplin made difference late on, but this team just does not have enough good football brains or quality. Will need to splash a little cash. @IanDarke
I feel grim about #Pompey today but seeing some outrageous takes on here. Mous deserves the chance to turn this around, won League One and kept us up. @JackDavis10
The #Pompey socials say it all tonight sadly. Our fans are speaking out for a very good reason. We are in deep deep doo doo and require a massive reset. What that looks like I have no idea and, worryingly, I'm not sure Mous and his team do either. @PropPersonnel
Big John will ultimately pay the price @#Pompey. Sad, cos I love him personally. Ultimately it looks like the owners don’t want to invest (12min video) but all these cheap signings (Koz, Wadd,Matt,Farr,Le Roux ) ain’t up to it . Last yr Atko, Ritchie, Potts etc not been replaced @Ksshaw61
Just have to put your hands up Bristol cCity played some great football their aiming high and mentality is 10x Pompey ultimately it’s up to the players to perform. We looked like a team already relegated. @mikepfcwhite363
Pompey are worst side in Championship now
#Pompey are the worst side in the Championship right now. @officialfournil
The budget #Pompey have relies on Mous working woners. He’s not right now. If you sack him no decent manager will take the job. We will be relegated and watch Mous flourish with owners that back him. This is what we are under Eisner ownership. @Hardcorps7
All them joyous moments at Peterborough away, Barnsley at home etc for this…. Getting out of league 1 should have been an opportunity to kick on, instead #pompey have settled to just try and stay in this league…. Change of strategy needed! @PompeyTransfer
There’s no denying it’s been a tough week for any Pompey fan but we’ve been in the relegation zone before and climbed out. Let’s hope we can do it again. @george_wedlake
