Portsmouth unchanged as Blues tormentor starts for Sheffield United

The Pompey and Sheffield United Championship team news is in.

John Mousinho sticks with the same Pompey squad who delivered Millwall victory as they go for back-to-back wins at Sheffield United.

The Blues are unchanged against the Blades, with the same starting XI and bench which delivered a 3-1 success on Saturday.

That means Mark Kosznovszky and Florian Bianchini are rewarded for decent returns to the side at the weekend by keeping their places in the team.

Callum Lang remains on the bench after coming back into the fray on Saturday, following hamstring surgery in August.

Ben Killip, Ibane Bowat and Luke Le Roux are the fit Pompey players to miss out on the squad, as Pompey look for their first win at Bramall Lane since 1955 - a run spanning 26 games.

Patrick Bamford comes in for his first start for Sheffield United amid two changes.

Bamford, who was touted incorrectly for a Pompey move last month, leads the line with Tom Cannon the other player coming into the starting XI after Sunday’s 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Cannon, of course, tormented Pompey with a four-goal salvo for Stoke last season before a £10m move to South Yorkshire.

Pompey: Schmid; Devlin, Knight, Poole, Swanson; Kosznovszky, Dozzell; Bianchini, Segecic, Murphy; Bishop.

Subs: Bursik, Williams, Matthews, Swift, Pack, Lang, Yang, Chaplin, Kirk
