'Horrible performance. Didn't deserve to win. Sums us up' - Portsmouth fans react to draw at Blackburn Rovers
Pompey throw away lead lead to draw 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers
Pompey fans on social media have been reacting to the Blues’ 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers.
Connor Ogilvie thought he had given the visitors all three points when his deflected shot found its way into the back of the home net on 84 minutes.
However, John Mousinho’s side were pegged back three minutes into injury-time when former Blue Hayden Carter saw his header creep in at Nicolas Schmid’s far post, as the Austrian failed to get a strong hand on the effort.
The result leaves Pompey 19th in the table and five points above the relegation zone.
But here’s how fans have reacted following the final whistle.
Pompey fans have their say on 1-1 draw at Blackburn
@SamMcEwan17: Didn’t deserve to win, but that’s so unbelievably frustrating. We completely forgot how to play football for 10 minutes and that’s what happens.
@TsunamiQuiff: We're so frustrating to watch, our final third play is so painful and useless. Not sure why Alli was kept on and Gus taken off, Alli looked out of sorts from the start. Not a bad point but its another game where we should be coming away with so much more.
@mark11s: Can’t get over that “defending” by Blair. Let’s the guy just walk by him with nothing more than sticking out a lazy leg as resistance.
@scottpompey: Harvey Blair you simply have to do so much better, was always a don’t lose match but come on #pompey.
@CamGpfc: Horrible performance, from both sides, but the fact we couldnt hold that lead for a few minutes is shambolic.
@Bunkybowers: So drab to watch, such joy when the goal went in. Surprised Blair didn’t give way to Williams once we went a goal up.
@_JLWilson: Should not be throwing away 2 points from that position against a poor team. Needed to be more urgency to stop the cross coming into the box. Frustrating to say the least, #Pompey have to move on quickly & back the point up with a win at home on Tuesday.
@BourbonBert: An awful game between 2 awful teams creating sod all. Woeful. I love Bishop but why start him every week? This can't go on!
@BenParish1: Lots of people blaming Blair for their goal but Schmid more at fault I think, got hand to ball but not strong enough to push it round the post and it wasn't travelling fast either.
@grahamdubber: That was one of those games where you end up disappointed with the point you would have been happy with 10 minutes earlier.
@joerobbs: That just about sums us up. Doing our very best to get ourselves relegated when we should be comfortably clear of it. Tuesday night is MUST WIN.
