Portsmouth faithful all say same thing as former Liverpool winger Harvey Blair linked with Fratton Park exit

Few Pompey fans would argue against the Blues parting company with Harvey Blair following two frustrating years at Fratton Park

Pompey fans on social media have been sharing their thoughts on Harvey Blair’s Fratton Park future.

Supporters have been offering up their verdicts on the winger after it was reported that a host of clubs from abroad were keen.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Polish side Widzew Łódź have submitted a written offer for the former Liverpool youngster, who cost Pompey £300,000 in the summer of 2024.

Swiss Super League side Servette and Hungary’s Ferencváros TC are also reportedly eyeing the 22-year-old, whose game time at PO4 has been limited to just 28 in all competitions due to recurring injuries.

Indeed, Blair sat out Pompey’s season-opener at West Ham last weekend with a hip injury suffered in the warm-up ahead of the Blues’ pre-season friendly in Darmstadt.

And in a week that has seen the Blues reinforce their wing options with the arrival of Abu Kamara and close in on a move for Chelsea youngster Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, many see this as the ideal opportunity to part ways with the Huddersfield youngster who is now into the final year of his contract.

Here’s what fans have been saying about Blair, who is in the final year of his contract, after the transfer report emerged.

@HazzaTWood96: In my opinion we've got to cut our losses with Harv Blair, for me he's still young and has time to learn and grow but that's not at Pompey unfortunately as he hasn't shown much growth here at all.

Still I'll wish him all the best if this move happens.

@fxprop·1: I'd let him go on a free at this stage. Sadly he's made of glass, about as strong as a 10 year old, and has had no impact in the Champ whatsoever.

@ChillandBill1: Would be good move for everyone. He could do well in a European league where he gets more space and time on the ball. I'd be surprised if it is perm.

@hm2524263: I’ll cover the plane ticket over.

@PompeyPatter: He needs to sort out his attitude. As of right now, his career is looking like it’s going along the same lines as Miguel Azeez. Only he can change it. But, best of luck to him whenever he ends up.

@Daveyboy1995: Good move for him if this gets sorted. Good player with the ability but can’t rely on injury prone players.

@CamGpfc: This is a good move, it just hasn’t worked out for him here. Fitness is just not good enough, needs a move away to kick start his career.

@PompeyDurham: A loan would be a good move for him. Then if he's does happen to improve from "there's a player in there somewhere" he could come back for next season.
