The Blues have been looking to improve their goalkeeping department after conceding 64 goals in last season’s Championship.
Austrian Schmid is established as first choice, but the arrival of Bielica is expected to provide him with greater competition.
Ben Killip and Josef Bursik are also currently on the Blues’ books.
However, Bursik is sidelined with a quad issue picked up at the end of last season, which is expected to keep him out until September.
