Portsmouth faithful welcome huge double fitness boost delivered ahead of Leicester City game
Pompey have welcomed back Josh Murphy and Ebou Adams for their game against Leicester today
Pompey fans on social media have been reacting to the team news that has emerged ahead of the Blues’ huge game against Leicester City at Fratton Park.
Boss John Mousinho has made two changes to the side that beat Ipswich 2-0 in midweek, with Conor Chaplin and Keshi Anderson restored to the side at the expense of John Swift and Adrian Segecic.
However, it’s two players named on the bench who have Pompey fans talking the most ahead of kick-off.
The last time the Fratton faithful clapped eyes on Josh Murphy was during the 1-1 draw at Derby County just before Christmas.
The flying winger has sat out 22 games since then with a foot injury and was expected to miss the remainder of the season.
However, the 2024-25 Blues player of the year is back in the fold with four Championship games remaining alongside influential midfielder Ebou Adams.
January arrival Adams hasn’t featured for Pompey since the 6-1 hammering at QPR before the international break.
There were also doubts about his availability for such a crunch period in the season, but he too is back to lend a hand to the Blues’ survival bid.
Welcoming the news, many fans took to social media to welcome the developments, Here’s what they had to say...
