Pompey’s longstanding interest in Dundee defender is approaching D-day!

Pompey’s interest in Dundee centre-back Luke Graham is heading for its moment of truth.

According to reports north of the border, the Blues have had a bid for the 22-year-old accepted by the Dens Park outfit.

However, they’re not alone in being granted permission to thrash out personal terms with the player.

The Courier are reporting that Championship rivals Stoke City have also struck a deal with the Scottish Premiership side, meaning Graham has some serious thinking to do over the next couple of days.

The Scotland under-21 international is currently away with Dundee on their pre-season training camp in Hungary.

Yet he’s now all set to return to the UK to meet representatives from both Pompey and Stoke to determine which project excites him more.

Graham has been joined by fellow team-mate Billy Koumetio in departing the eight-day camp, with the defender poised to join Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.

The Blues currently have six centre-backs on their books.

However, Ibane Bowat has been told he’s free to leave Fratton Park this summer. Meanwhile, the Blues intend to cut that number more ahead of the new Championship season to accommodate Graham’s potential arrival.
