9. Matthew Bondswell (LB) - Newcastle
A non-starter for Pompey. Danny Cowley credited the links with the club to 'agent' talk. The left-back subsequently joined Shrewsbury on loan on deadline day. Picture: Stu Forster/Getty Images) Photo: Stu Forster
10. Kieran Sadlier (Wing) - .Rotherham United
With game time hard to come by for Sadlier this term, Pompey, Charlton and Bolton had been linked with his services. But it was the Trotters who prevailed by signing him permanently near the end of the window. Picture Bruce Rollinson Photo: Bruce Rollinson
11. Stuart Findlay (CB) - Philadelphia Union
It was relatively surprising to see the Blues linked with the former Celtic and Newcastle defender, who is currently plying his trade in the MLS. But a move from Pompey was never happening. Picture: Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images Photo: Tim Nwachukwu
12. George Thomas (Attacking Midfield) - QPR
Pompey and Blackpool had been linked with making loan moves for the QPR attacker in January. However, Rs' boss Mark Warburton explained how Thomas is still a 'vital member' of his squad despite falling down the pecking order. With the London club pushing for Premier League promotion they kept the midfielder in the winter. Picture: Jacques Feeney/Getty Images Photo: Jacques Feeney
