Do you agree with how Blues writer Jordan Cross saw it at Ewood Park?

Once again not wanting from commitment, but just doesn’t seem to be happening for the League One title winner as an attacking force. Dug in and did defensive duties before taking heavy hit on stroke of half-time and being withdrawn. | National World

A night where not a lot went the Scouser’s way. Buzzed around in the trademark fashion but didn’t get a lot of change out of the Rovers back line and then withdrawn with game gone to save key man for another day. | National World

Fleeting threat from the winger wasn’t enough. One arcing first-half ball from Bishop nearly reaped dividends but nothing of note beyond that. Levels of graft defensively to aid Ogilvie were apparent in first half | National World

Head-in-hands moment for Magic Man after big first-half miss. The kind of chance you’d want to fall to the number nine, but could only cannon his effort off the bar. Unlucky with second-half header off line in key incident ahead of Rovers’ second and led the line with usual physicality. | Jason Brown/ProSportsImages
