The winger swooped in the 62nd minute, producing a classy first-time finish from substitute Abu Kamara’s sublime pass to secure a 1-0 win at Carlisle.
With results going favourably elsewhere, the Blues have strengthened their place at the top of the table – and here are our player ratings...
9. Callum Lang - 7
(Replaced by Owen Moxon on 75 mins) No goals this time, but buzzes around and always suggests he can make things happen. Been such a good fit so far with energy and attacking intent. Photo: Jason Brown
10. Myles Peart-Harris - 4
(Replaced by Abu Kamara on 57 mins) Lethargic, absolutely nothing came off, and went to ground far too easily on too many occasions. Simply not his day. Photo: Jason Brown
11. Colby Bishop - 7
Another who had a lacklustre first half, aside from a wonderful first-time pass to Lane, which resulted in the winger having a shot. Raised his game in the second half, though, with his chasing and physicality. Photo: Bryn Lennon
