With the Westleigh Park match goalless, the hosts were awarded a spot kick in the 89th minute, only for the Blues keeper and captain to thwart Ryan Seager.
It was another missed opportunity for the Hawks striker, who spurned several chances in a fixture the non-leaguers would have felt they deserved to win as it ended up 0-0.
And here are our Pompey player ratings…
9. Harry Clout - 6
(Replaced by Elisha Pfupa on 62 mins) Not quite the impact the left winger had at Westleigh Park this time last year. Posed a few dangerous moments, though, with his directness and energy. Photo: Nigel Keene
10. Reuben Swann - 7
(Replaced by Fraser Thomas on 46 mins) First outing of the pre-season following injury and there were some really bright moments. Always wanting the ball, always trying to drive forward. The main attacking threat when on pitch. Photo: Habibur Rahman
11. Chinedu Agu - 6
(Replaced by Kyran Sylvanus on 76 mins) Asked to lead the line and pressed very well, showing physicality and a willingness to chase. Photo: Jason Brown
12. Terry Devlin against the Hawks
