The Australian made it the perfect start to life at Fratton Park, with the Blues heading for an opening-day defeat against Bristol Rovers.
Trailling to Luke Thomas’ first-half goal, Yengi rose at the far post to finished Joe Rafferty's right-wing cross and make it 1-1 in the 92nd minute in front of the Fratton faithful.
There were some eye-catching displays on show and here are our Pompey player ratings...
5. Connor Ogilvie - 7
Started at left-back, finished as left-sided centre-half. Average deliveries into the box but always gives his all and struck the post with a low shot from outside the box in the 83rd minute. Photo: Jason Brown

7. Marlon Pack - 6
A quiet display from Pompey’s fulcrum, although always on hand to tidy up and control matters in front of the penalty area. One first-half free-kick which comfortably cleared the crossbar. Photo: Jason Brown
8. Joe Morrell - 7
Collected a booking as early as the 16th minute, but thankfully used his nous not to see red. The pick of the central midfielders, displaying usual work-rate and passion, driving the team on. Photo: Jason Brown
