Portsmouth 4 Southend 1 - selection of pictures from the match as Blues thump Sol Campbell's Shrimpers

Pompey ran out 4-1 winners over Sol Campbell’s Southend to give themselves a massive confidence boost.

John Marquis put the Blues on their way with his strike in first-half stoppage-time before Ellis Harrison bagged a double after the restart and substitute Marcus Harness rounded off the scoring.

Campbell’s Shrimpers did pull it back to 2-1 with 20 minutes left through Brandon Goodship. However, Harrison bagged his second from the penalty spot and Harness wrapped up the victory. It was just a fifth league win this season for Kenny Jackett’s men, them up two places to 13th in the table. Here are a selection of pictures from Pompey’s thumping victory.
