Kenny Jackett is not at the Memorial Stadium for Pompey's League One encounter at Bristol Rovers this evening.
The Blues boss is watching the clash from home ahead of undergoing an operation.
Jackett is having surgery to have a mole removed from his forearm and needs two weeks of recovery and recuperation.
As a result, the ex-Millwall boss is absent for tonight's game against the Gas.
Assistant-manager Joe Gallen instead takes charge in the dugout along with Jake Wigley.
