'Just play ex-Wigan man ... Underwhelming ... Ditch back five' - How Portsmouth fans reacted to Charlton defeat
Pompey fans have reacted online after the Blues’ defeat to Charlton this evening.
The loss at the hands of the Addicks means Danny Cowley’s side are still searching for their first league victory of 2022.
And the Fratton faithful have made their feelings known on Twitter after the full-time whistle.
Connor Washington’s controversial opener was then doubled by Clark Robertson’s own goal, on a night to forget on the south coast.
And despite the hosts best efforts after Michael Jacobs pulled a goal back, Johnnie Jackson’s side came away with three points.
Here’s the best of the posts and messages sent after the loss
@SamWilliamsPFC: Just play Jacobs and ditch this 3 back
@Pompeyrabbi: Totally underwhelming day.
@gusbaxter98: Next match start the team that finished this game and never play a back 5 again.
@OP_SamuelCC: Terrible we need players that can consistently score
@Pompeyfan202188: Not good enough. Every single fan would choose the correct shape and starting 11 but coaches don’t see it. Needs to change because we are dreadful
@sammyhill78: Depressing. But we're used to it by now. We go again. Pup.
@H_Smudger: Cant not play curtis and Jacobs.
