Jack Whatmough starts for Portsmouth at Peterborough in big promotion showdown
Jack Whatmough makes his Pompey league return at Peterborough today.
The defender starts his first league game in 13 months in the promotion battle at London Road.
Whatmough’s one of three changes from the last league outing against Rochdale as Steve Seddon and Ben Close also start in place of Lee Brown and Andy Cannon.
There’s also a place on the bench for Brett Pitman, with Ellis Harrison not in today’s squad.
League One’s top scorer Ivan Toney starts for Peterborough in their only change for Mo Eisa, as he returns from suspension.
Pompey: Bass, Bolton, Whatmough, Raggett, Seddon, Naylor, Close, Williams, McGeehan, Curtis, Marquis.
Subs: MacGillivray, Brown, McCrorie, Cannon, Hawkins, Harness, Pitman.
