New skipper Marlon Park and Joe Morrell’s first for the club earned the Blues a 2-0 win following a much-improved second-half display against Exeter.
There were some excellent displays, including from both goalscorers, and here are our on-the-whistle Pompey player ratings...
13. Michael Jacobs - 7
(Replaced by Ronan Curtis on 69 mins) A quiet first half but sprang to life after the break and looked much more lively, as did the team. Always has that touch of class about him. Photo: National World
14. Portsmouth forward Owen Dale close call during the EFL Sky Bet League 1 match between Portsmouth and Exeter City at Fratton Park, Portsmouth, England on 21 January 2023.

15. Ronan Curtis - 7
(Replaced Michael Jacobs on 69 minutes) Very lively upon introduction and Joe Morrell should really have finished off his pass to score at one point. Would have impressed the new head coach. Photo: National World
