9. Harvey Rew - Gosport Borough
The Pompey fan had dreams of one day playing for the Blues in front of a packed Fratton Park. But last April, following the conclusion of his scholarship, the left-back was deemed surplus to requirements and went on to have unsuccessful trials at Millwall, West Ham and Sheffield United. The 19-year-old has since returned to his home club Gosport Borough where he has been a regular fixture in the Boro defence this season. Photo: The News

10. Harry Kavanagh - Gopsort Borough
Another to link up with Shaun Gale at Gosport was academy captain Harry Kavanagh. The 20-year-old joined Pompey in 2018 and was given a contract following the expiration of his scholarship last year. The right-back turned down the contract and turned his attention to playing for Boro and has been another regular in the Gosport backline along with Rew. Photo: The News

11. Eoin Teggart - Portadown
The Northern Irish winger spent three years at Fratton Park, making just two first team outings. After he was released from the south coast, he spent a month training with the Northern Irish club before signing last October. So far this campaign the 20-year-old has played five times for the Ports but has failed to net in any occasions. Photo: Robin Jones

12. Seok Jae-Lee - Gosport Borough
Lee was another player given the opportunity to extend his stay but decided to pursue other options. The News understood that he went on trial with Sunderland’s under-23s side at the start of July, as well as a trial with Brentford, but neither failed to come to fruition. After several months without a club, the 18-year-old linked up with many of his former teammates at Gosport where he joined last November. Photo: Nigel Keene
