Played behind closed doors at the Blues’ Hilsea training ground, the fixture consisted of two 60-minute periods, with John Mousinho’s men using 22 players.
However, it was the League One Chairboys who ran out emphatic winners through goals from Garath McCleary, Richard Kone, Beryly Lubala and an unnamed player.
Mousinho was understandably angry after the final whistle – and here are our Pompey player ratings...

13. Kusini Yengi - 5
(Replaced by Christian Saydee on 61 mins) Had two goals in two pre-season games before Wycombe, yet barely even threatened and was very disappointing. Wycombe dealt with his threat comfortably and in the end the Australian looked frustrated, arguing with the referee. Photo: Jason Brown

14. Portsmouth Silvera (8) during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Bognor Regis Town and Portsmouth at Nyewood Lane, Bognor, United Kingdom on 20 July 2024.

15. Terry Devlin - 5
(Replaced Jordan Williams on 61 mins) Initially introduced at right-back and moved into a number 10 role behind the striker. Had two glorious headed chances from two Owen Moxon right-wing corners, but planted both wide when he should have done far, far better. Photo: Jason Brown

16. Zak Swanson - 7
(Replaced Conor Shaughnessy on 61 mins). Initially asked to partner Jamal Baptiste in the centre of defence, before returning to his customary right-back role. The 23-year-old looked assured in both positions for his first pre-season game of the summer, while afterwards was one of the few given praised by John Mousinho. Photo: Jason Brown/ProSportsImages
