New head coach Danny Cowley has already implemented parts of his football philosophy in a short space of time.
Different formations have been used, alongside a mantra of fast attacking football and playing out from the back.
Some players, let’s be honest, have adapted better than others.
And with Cowley and his brother Nicky earmarked for a long-term Fratton Park stay, they will naturally look to bring in their own players to suit their needs.
But what does that mean for the curreny squad?
Here, Freddie Webb looks at each first-teamer to decide whether they have a future at Fratton Park beyond this season.

21. Ronan Curtis (Left-winger/forward)
Age: 25. Total appearances: 140 appearances. Stats this season: 47 appearances, 13 goals, 8 assists Contract Expiry Date: June 2023 Verdict: Curtis’ talent has been obvious from the beginning. His scoring touch from wide areas is a lethal weapon when utilised properly. And his creative touch and intense mentality are exactly what fans love to see on the pitch. But if Pompey miss out on promotion, Championship clubs will come knocking. The Blues could look to cash in on the Irishman’s value now, when it’s high, to improve the rest of the squad. 22. Michael Jacobs (Left-winger)
Age: 29. Total appearances: 22.Stats this season: 22 appearances, 2 goals, 3 assists Contract Expiry Date: June 2022 Verdict: Jacobs has added so much quality to the left-wing when he’s been fit and healthy. And that’s the biggest stumbling block for Pompey, with Jacobs struggling with injuries since his arrival last summer. There's no doubt he's a talented footballer - we just don't see it enough. That could cost him. Photo: Daniel Chesterton

23. John Marquis (Striker)
Age: 28. Total appearances: 101. Stats this season: 47 appearances, 18 goals, 7 assists Contract Expiry Date: June 2022 Verdict: Marquis has improved on last season’s goal tally, but he's still to find the prolific form which secured his £1m move from Doncaster. But Pompey’s front line has struggled all too often when it matters most. Given the current financial climate, moving Marquis is unlikely. So the Cowleys have to reshape their attacking blueprint to suit the striker’s style, or bring in a fresh striker to fight for Marquis’ position. Photo: PinPeP

24. Ellis Harrison (Striker)
Age: 27. Total appearances: 70. Stats this season: 31 appearances, 6 goals, 1 assist Contract Expiry Date: June 2022 Verdict: Harrison adds a different attacking dynamic whenever he dons the blue and white. Harrison battles with defenders and creates space for his attacking team-mates, both useful assets for a target-man striker. Although, after having a second season where he hasn’t scored enough goals, his Pompey future should be put into question. Photo: Dennis Goodwin
