Fratton Park sold out for Portsmouth's clash with struggling Shrewsbury

Fratton Park is sold out for Saturday’s visit of Shrewsbury.

All home sections of the League One clash have been snapped up as Pompey strive to maintain the only unbeaten home record outside the Premier League.

The Shrews, who are presently 17th in the table, have been handed an allocation of 400 tickets, which are still being sold.

That allows the Blues to also locate their own fans in the Milton end, albeit reducing the overall capacity through the necessity of segregation.

It totals up to a sell-out among home support against a Shrewsbury side whose last league win arrived at Blackpool on December 21.

Pompey are unbeaten in 14 Fratton Park fixtures in the league this season, winning nine of them, to establish something of a fortress.

Kenny Jackett’s side's club record-winning streak of nine matches came to an end on Tuesday night at Coventry, following a 1-0 defeat.

On the same evening, the Shrews lost 2-0 at home to Accrington as their worrying slide continues.
