Pompey lead 1-0 at the break at Forest Green following Sean Raggett’s 17th-minute opener.

Here’s what’s been said about the Blues’ first-half performance…

I think he (Danny Cowley) will be happy.

‘He’ll be disappointed one or two more opportunities in the final third, especially in an around the area, didn’t result in a good chance.

‘They’ve had some decent areas to get the ball in and created opportunities to get shots off but not really able to make that count in terms of a 2-0 lead.

‘A 1-0 lead is okay to go in with, but if you look at the players on the pitch, there's going to be two or three players tiring – Zak Swanson hasn’t played (much) – so he’s got to think about that in the second half and how that might affect their performance.

Jay Mingi running the show on his full debut, easily best player on the park so far.

Blues leading through Raggett header and very comfortable, but still so many gears to go through.

They're doing enough, yet more needed to make sure of this win.

Pompey good value for their lead from Raggett’s header.

Mingi the driving force producing arguably the best half of any Blues player this season - performing like Steven Gerrard (the player not the manager).

Much needed lead for Pompey with a goal going in at the right end from a set piece.

Jay Mingi has impressed on debut but Portsmouth certainly not at their fluent best.

@archiemcgreal: Well it’s good we’re winning but we really need to step it up, when we actually run at them we’re good, Mingi and Curtis been good, think Scarlett would kill this lot.

@capfc11: Jay Mingi has been quality in that first half!!

Decent performance all round so far just need to take our chances and put this to bed!!

@ChillandBill1: I love watching Mingi play football. He's always looking to drive forwards.

@themartinfish: Mingi and defence playing well. Tunni blowing already. Front two anonymous. Don’t blow this Pompey.
