Football so much better without VAR as Portsmouth optimism starts to grow after Ipswich win
Pompey fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on yesterday’s FA Cup victory at Ipswich.
Here’s what they’ve had to say...
@IanDarke
Pompey keep up winning mood at Ipswich - but got to admit that winner was offside. Starting to get optimistic feeling about this season.
@KeelanMcLeod
How was that haji challenge even near a red, class tackle games gone soft #pompey
@OliverHarry
If true that Cannon is now out for weeks that’s terrible. He was bang in form. Every year #pompey sacrifice the league for the cups. Every year
@shoops911
And, of course. Pompey have never been victim of incorrect refereeing decisions.
Pires/Stefanovic and Ian Ormondroyd are 2 that come to mind. Bet you all know many more.
@adarkelimited
Mnoga is quite clearly a better player than Johnson. A little raw but give him 10-15 games and he won’t be.

Congratulations @Michael_Eisner, hard fought win by the lads against a big club. Thanks for your support. Ignore the doubters, the Pompey Fans share your ambition!
@LukeEllisPUP
By the way, I know there were some dubious decisions in the #itfc vs #Pompey - but whether or not they go for or against you, football is so much better without VAR
