Ex-Portsmouth target to depart Doncaster and become a free agent

Ex-Pompey target Kieran Sadlier has turned down a new deal at Doncaster.

Our sister title the Doncaster Free Press reports the forward will leave the Keepmoat Stadium at the end of his contract this month.

The Blues were monitoring Sadlier during the first half of the 2018-19 season on the back of his prolific year at Cork City.

The West Sussex-born ace scored 26 goals in 49 appearances as the Rebel Army finished second in the League of Ireland, as well as being beaten in the final of the FAI Cup.

While Kenny Jackett admitted Sadlier was on his radar, he agreed to join League One rivals Doncaster, signing an 18-month deal.

The ex-West Ham youth player has enjoyed a fine spell at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Last term, he bagged three times in 19 games as Donny's play-off bid fell short.

Sadlier built on that this campaign, bagging 12 goals in 40 games to help Darren Moore’s men finish ninth in the table.
