With Danny Cowley plotting a major summer overhaul, there’s set to be a host of new arrivals at Fratton Park.
The rumour mill has unsurprisingly been churning, with goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards all being touted as targets.
Not all of the players the Blues have been credited with interest will sign, some of the rumours are likely to be wide of the mark.
But who are the players who are supposedly on Pompey’s radar? And what are the chances any each of them donning the star and crescent for the 2021-22 season?
We’ve taken a look at all those who’re reportedly on the Blues’ shopping list below...
5. Guy Melamed
Pompey were first credited with interest in the striker in March, along with League One rivals Sunderland and Ipswich. Melamed's enjoyed a decent campaign for St Johnstone, scoring seven times in 23 games. The Israeli's now out of contract and admitted he's flattered by interest in him. 6. Jack Payne
A player who Danny Cowley has signed before when in charge at Lincoln. Payne's suffered relegation with Swindon, but was one of their star playings, registering four goals and seven assists in 46 games. The ex-Huddersfield man has a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave the Robins after they went down. 7. Clark Robertson
Another left-footed centre-back linked with Pompey over the weekend. Robertson has departed Rotherham but supposedly had plenty of interest. The Scot has Championship experience under his belt and could represent a decent signing if he could remain fit. Photo: Nigel Roddis
8. Harry Toffolo
Danny Cowley has previosuly signed the left-back twice in his managerial career at Lincoln and Huddersfield. Toffolo is a regular and key player for the Terriers, though, and would be more likely to move up the Championship rather than dropping back down to League One. Photo: Alex Livesey
