9. Jesurun Rak-Sakyi
Definitely a player admired among the Pompey football operation and the question was asked about how viable a deal would be. The answer looks to have arrived with Southampton and a number of top Championship clubs being linked with the winger. | Getty Images
10. Chris Conn-Clarke
Pompey's name was thrown in with a stack of clubs for the Altrincham attacking midfielder. Never any truth in that and the Irishman signed for Peterborough. Photo: Joe Dent
11. Michael Craig
Reading's Scottish midfielder was a name which quickly arose - and just as quickly disappeared. | Getty Images
12. Josh Murphy
Hurrah - a name which came good! Josh Murphy's name was one with credence from the outset with John Mousinho's connection helping to fend off plenty of Championship interest for the winger. Photo: Portsmouth FC
