First-half goals from Jordan Williams and Kusini Yengi secured a deserved victory for John Mousinho’s men, who really should have added to their tally.
Christian Saydee, in particular, missed some chances after being introduced in the 62nd minute along with eight other substitutes – and here are our Pompey player ratings...
17. Christian Saydee - 5
(Replaced Kusini Yengi on 62 mins) Asking to play in a centre-forward role, to show his versatility. However, disappointingly caught offside on occasions and also wasted some glorious late goal-scoring opportunities, some when handed a one-on-one. Photo: Jason Brown
18. Owen Moxon - 6
(Replaced Marlon Pack on 62 mins) Went close with a free-kick and added a bit of thrust and impetus from the centre of midfeild. Photo: Jason Brown
19. Terry Devlin - 6
(Replaced Jordan Williams on 62 mins) Another right-back outing and again gave energy down the right flank. Having a very bright pre-season for the Blues. Photo: Jason Brown
20. Ben Stevenson - 5
(Replaced Tom Lowery on 62 mins) Fits Pompey's system well, playing deep and keeping the ball ticking over. Photo: Jason Brown
